About Tawni
Hello!
My name is Tawni and I am 29 years old. I live in Renton, Washington and I have worked in my school district for going on 7 years! I absolutely love what I do and building relationships with my students is one of the best parts! The kids are so much fun and they make it feel a lot less like work! Since the hours are great working the same schedule as the school day it allows me some time after school to look into something like this. I have the skills and I figure why not put them to use and help some more kiddos out that could use it! Hope to meet you soon!

Currently teaching English, phonemic awareness and writing skills to students kindergarten through 5th grade! I teach very compact lessons to students below grade level in the hopes to get them up to standard. We work on skills like breaking down words so students can better understand how to read multisyllabic words, learning new sounds and being able to recognize the order in which they hear the sounds in words so they can notice them when they see and hear them in other text and building a love of reading so they enjoy the experience!
