I like to start from the basics. For example, you can't understand what makes compost tea so beneficial without first having a science lesson on bacteria and fungus. However, I will make use of your time and can go at any speed you like. Normally I tend to go slow so that you can retain everything that I'm saying, but since I am getting paid by the hour for my rants here, I can move very quickly and spend time on critical components.
I started sowing seeds by hand at 5 years old. I have always been called to the land, and using it respectfully to sustain myself is my passion. I work as a garden manager on campus of UNCA where I grow food in over .5 acres of land (multiple gardens) for donation to local food banks. I plan, cultivate, tend, and harvest. I have experience teaching classes in these gardens as well. I like to talk about nearly anything you can find in a permaculture forest. Mushroom farming, the science of compost tea, vermiculture, bokashi, fruit grafting, garden planning, medicinals, tinctures, native ID, and so much more. I am always learning from the Earth, and I absolutely love to share what I know.
I can work with you on a sliding scale rate if you are low income!
