About Oliver
Hi I’m Oli! I’m currently a university student at the University Of Bristol studying economics and philosophy. My first job at 16 was tutoring small groups in maths, aged 4-16. Ever since, after numerous other workplaces such as Tesco, and in hospitality at local hotels, tutoring was the only job I’ve had that I enjoyed. From my own experience in the English schooling system, we learn so much more when our own teachers are engaged and enjoy the subject they teach. I would claim personally to have a genuine passion for Economics, hopefully seen from my choice of study, and I do believe it will translate into not only effective but enjoyable teaching. Happy to provide my old tutoring employers' details to give an opinion on my teaching!

I believe it’s always important to start with recognising weaknesses in individuals' skills. Only then can you look into how each student likes to be taught. For some, verbal learning is best, but equally many struggle unless they can visually see how things work. After this, it’s all about a progressive system where we try and grow at our own pace each session.
