About Sophia
I am a dedicated and high-achieving student currently studying English Extension 1, with strong results across English Advanced and Mathematics Advanced. I have a genuine passion for both subjects and a clear understanding of what is required to succeed at a high school level.
Through my high school journey I have developed highly successful exam prep techniques and break down strategies that allow for optimization of study. I have a strong understanding of what works and what does not meaning I am able to pass on my learnings.
I am a big believer that everything is achievable if broken down into more manageable sections. This approach can be easily applied to mathematics and English, allowing the mastering core understanding and basic fundamentals to serve as strong foundations that can be applied over and over. I take a professional and reliable approach to tutoring. I come prepared to each lesson, tailor my teaching to the individual student, and ensure that sessions are purposeful and aligned with school expectations and assessment criteria.
I understand the demands of the current curriculum and exam system, and I aim to give students practical strategies they can apply immediately in class and assessments.
