About Vimpi
I am a dedicated and experienced educator with over **15 years of teaching and academic experience in the UK and India**, specialising in **Mathematics and Science**. I have worked with students across **KS3, KS4 and GCSE**, supporting learners with different abilities, learning styles and academic needs.
I am a **patient, approachable and student-focused teacher** who believes that every learner can make progress with the right guidance, encouragement and teaching approach. I take time to understand each student's strengths and areas for development and adapt my lessons accordingly.
My teaching style combines **clear explanations, practical examples, questioning, regular assessment and personalised support**. I use a student-centred, structured and engaging approach to teaching, adapting each lesson to the individual learner's ability, pace and learning needs. I begin by identifying the student's existing knowledge and areas for improvement, then plan lessons with clear learning objectives and achievable outcomes.
My lessons combine clear explanations, worked examples, questioning, guided practice and independent application to ensure students understand not only how to solve a problem but also why the method works. I regularly use assessment and questioning throughout the lesson to identify gaps in understanding and adjust my teaching accordingly.
For Mathematics and Science, I focus on building strong conceptual understanding, developing problem-solving and analytical skills, and gradually increasing the level of challenge. I also provide targeted practice and constructive feedback to build confidence, accuracy and independent learning skills.
I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing confidence in their abilities.
