About Michelle LaPoetica
I am a bilingual poet, spoken word artist, public speaker, and a simultaneous interpreter. I am also a proud Mother and Grandmother, a pluviophile since birth and a selenophile for as long as I can remember. I am deeply involved in my community and a heavy supporter of creating pathways of sustainability for the creative workforce. Artists (in every category, genre and/or capacity) are in the storytellers of life, we should not be treated as accessories or commodities…we are the heartbeat and foundation of it all, and as such should be respected AND compensated.

I am deeply involved in my community and this allows me the opportunity to work with people of various cultures and ethnicities from all over the world in a plethora of life paths and stages within their respective life’s journey. It is precisely because of all of this and my own life experiences, that I am able to offer the best and perhaps most comprehensive Conversational Spanish lessons around. All of this combined is what allows me to easily tailor YOUR lessons to YOUR field of interest/work/industry with strong focus on social and cultural nuances that are conscious of and in tune with current world issues and events. Thereby ensuring that you aren’t just “speaking” you will be COMMUNICATING and THAT, for me, makes ALL the difference!

Michelle is patient and ensures I clearly understand what I’m saying as well as what she’s saying. She repeats a word in a sentence when I say it incorrectly rather than telling me I said it wrong. It’s the little things that are important and helping me to be more confident in learning a second language. Michelle works with preteen to adult children and is an active community leader. Again she’s an excellent teacher.
