About Daniel

I have been playing Percussion for over thirty-five years. My resume includes touring and recording with Taylor Swift, Josh Groban, Beyonce, Maxwell, Jewel, Al Green and many jazz artists such as Michael Brecker, Christian McBride, Nicholas Payton, Richard Bona, Pat Martino and many others.

I love to teach and will always give 100% to my students. I will provide step-by-step instruction on how to play any rhythm, whether complicated or easy by breaking everything down for you.

English

I have been playing Drums and Percussion for over thirty-five years. I have a Master's Degree in Music Composition and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, both from NYU. I teach many private students, I am an artist-in-residence at numerous public schools in NYC and I also instruct at the New York Musician's Center in Long Island.

I love teaching on any level, from beginner to advanced. My methodology is to explore Afro-Cuban rhythms, as well as contemporary Pop, R&B and Jazz and see how they all can be used in any setting. I will give you step-by-step instructions on how to play these rhythms and break everything down for you.

I have been blessed to have studied with many masters and I look forward to sharing what I have learned from them with you, my future students. And, because I have recorded and toured with Taylor Swift, Josh Groban, Bette Midler, Norah Jones, Beyonce, The Roots and many jazz artists such as Michael Brecker, Christian McBride, Nicholas Payton, Pat Martino, etc., I can show you how I come up with the parts that I have played on these albums.
