About Daniel

I am a graduate of the Royal College of Music, where I earned my Master’s degree in Performance. Following my studies, I spent seven years in Hong Kong working as a freelance oboist and oboe tutor. During that time, I had the privilege of performing with professional ensembles including the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

With over 12 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all ages and levels, both privately and in schools—ranging from primary to secondary. I currently teach oboe for the Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service (THAMES), Royal Greenwich Music Service, and Wandsworth Music.

About the lesson

I am a professional oboist with 12 years of teaching experience, working with students from beginner to advanced levels in both individual and group settings.

My teaching approach is creative, supportive, and always tailored to each student’s unique goals and learning style. I strive to make every lesson engaging and enjoyable, helping students build strong technical skills while discovering the joy of making music.

Mr. Daniel Tam had taught my son Enson playing Oboe for two years. He is the best Oboe teacher we have ever had, he is always inspiring and encouraging. He also teaches Enson with lots of patience. Because of Daniel, Enson enjoys playing Oboe a lot and he is now the member of his school’s Orchestra and he also got Merit in ABRSM Grade 3 Oboe.
