About Lori
I have been playing with data for program assessment and health sciences research for over 25 years. As data has become bigger I have gained experience in handling, manipulating, and analyzing "big data". I have professional experience considering needs for data security and HIPAA / HI-TECH compliance.
My experience in databases includes NIH-funded research studies, social media data scrapes, and publicly available data such as NHANES, NHIS, and EPA air sensors.
With a proven track record of publications where I have contributed as data manager and/or analyst, I can see the scope of a project/assignment from soup to nuts. Let me help you make sense out of your chaos!

Are you a student struggling to understand how to work with datasets?
Do you need handholding for how to manipulate data or are you at the level where you have a clean dataset but you simply don't know what to do next for your analysis?
Did you download flat files from publicly available data and now you are completely lost?
My goals are to teach an understanding and appreciation of how databases work and how they can "talk" to each other. I use plain language to explain database structure. Wherever you are along the path of your data tasks, I will help guide you through from data cleaning and manipulation, merging seemingly unrelated datasets, to ultimately accomplishing synthesis and analysis.
