About Vida
Often I sit with people who stare at a blank Jupyter notebook wondering how to connect the dots. My 12 years of experience in the industry helps me bridge the gap between messy code and clean insights using pandas and NumPy.
We use SQL for analytics to solve problems that actually matter in a business context. I have guided 155 students through data visualization and scikit-learn tasks while building their confidence. Statistics for data science becomes much more intuitive when you see how the math applies to real dataset walkthroughs. You can expect a conversational style that moves at your pace.

Feedback happens in real time while we debug your logic. You see me pull up a raw file and watch how I approach data cleaning. My Master of Science in Financial Engineering from NYU Stern informs the way I structure each session for those learning data science. With 12 years of experience behind me I know exactly where the common pitfalls hide for students.
We spend time on underlying rather than just running a script. The goal is to ensure you understand why a model behaves a certain way. By the end of our time you will have a working prototype. It is a straightforward process.
