About Agnes

I hold a postgraduate degree in Data Science from the University of Texas at Austin and have more than three years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in an engineering college. I enjoy helping learners understand analytical concepts and develop strong problem-solving skills.

My interests include Machine Learning, Statistics, and data analysis, and I enjoy guiding learners through practical data problems using real datasets and examples. Many of the concepts are explained using Python-based tools commonly used in data science and statistical analysis.

I am also interested in research areas where data science can be applied to fields such as mental health and neuroscience, exploring how analytical methods can help understand complex human and behavioral patterns.

I enjoy mentoring learners who are working on assignments, projects, or exploring concepts in statistics, machine learning, and data analysis.

About the lesson

My sessions focus on helping learners understand Machine Learning, Statistics, and Python for Data Science through clear explanations and practical examples. Concepts are explained using real-world use cases and datasets so learners can connect theory with practical applications.

I provide guidance at different stages of a data science problem depending on where a learner needs support, including:

• Understanding the objective of a data science problem
• Working with datasets and exploratory data analysis
• Feature selection and identifying important variables
• Choosing appropriate statistical tests for analysis
• Selecting suitable machine learning models
• Model evaluation and interpretation of results
