Jay tutored my son in maths for his common entrance scholarship exams. My son looked forward to his weekly lessons with Jay, even though maths was not his favourite subject at the time. He found Jay very easy to get on with; he delivered some complex learning with a light touch and a sense of humour, which made it feel much less arduous. He found Jay’s explanations clear and easy to follow, and he really helped him to develop a much clearer understanding of mathematical concepts than he had gained from his teachers at school. Jay made particular progress with my son’s understanding of algebra, which he started to enjoy under Jay’s tutelage, helping him to achieve a top mark in his algebra scholarship paper.
