About Velma
"Teaching Data Science for 13 years has allowed me to witness the evolution of complex analytical workflows. My approach relies on a Master of Science from Georgia Tech to guide students through building functional dashboards in Power BI and writing efficient code in Jupyter notebooks. I prioritize rigorous data cleaning alongside machine learning basics to ensure students grasp the foundational pipeline.
Developing strong feature engineering skills and crafting clear data visualization remains central to my methodology. I help students perform exploratory data analysis and refine their SQL for analytics proficiency.
