My name is Jin Kim, Growing up as Korean American, my parents would always emphasize going to a top college, perfect SAT scores, and being a doctor or lawyer. Education, Music, and Sports were my top priorities my whole life as a student. I graduated ranked 3rd in my class with gpa 4.3. Lead percussionist in band and played in over 30 concerts as a solo pianist. I also was all southern league in golf and basketball. While achieving all this in high school i managed to find some time taking extra courses at a junior college to transfer over when I attend college. I also interned with Dr. Linville, an optometrist, since that’s what I wanted to be. I recieved Who’s Who award, given to the top 5% students in the Country. I know what the recipe is for success during our youths important self molding tenure of subjects and extracurriculars offered by our education system. Not only did I learn from the American system, I’ve got to learn from attending schools in South Korea, emphasizing math and music. I’ll tell you this, a 6th grader in Korea will outperform any American 12 grader in math and music. I look forward in giving back to our youth and teaching them what I’ve learned.
