About Zara

I am a UC Davis graduate with a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. I also have my minor in Spanish and obtained the California Seal of Biliteracy five years ago. I have a strong passion for all things science and am in the process of applying to medical school (with hopes in specializing in women's health). I teach algebra and biology (AP or regular) with an emphasis on making lessons fun while making sure the facts stick. I was born in London, England, so let me know if my accent is too strong and I will do my best to soften it! I have been living in California for the past 13 years and absolutely love it. I look forward to meeting you!

About the lesson

I have been tutoring grades K-12 for the past six years. I cater every lesson to each student's individual needs and aim to make each lesson as fun as possible (I find that it helps students retain information better and reduces the chances that they fall asleep). I have experience working with students with a wide range of learning disabilities, and I factor in every unique learning style into every lesson. I am a strong believer that anyone can learn anything if they put their mind to it.
