About Katie

I’m an online ESL tutor who’s been teaching adults since 2020, but my love for helping people with their English started long before that. In previous workplaces, I always found myself supporting colleagues with their language skills — whether it was explaining an idiom, Aussie slang or helping someone feel more confident in a conversation. I realized how much I enjoyed it, and that’s what led me to become a tutor. I also homeschool my 9-year-old autistic son, which has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and keeping things simple. For me, teaching isn’t just a job — it’s something I truly care about. My focus is always on making learning feel relaxed and useful. I believe that language doesn’t need to be stressful or complicated — it just needs to make sense to you. About the lesson

I work with adults from all over Australia who want to improve their English in a relaxed, friendly environment. My approach is all about keeping things casual, practical, and tailored to you. No pressure, no stuffy grammar lectures – just real conversation and useful reading that fits into your daily life. I take the time to get to know you and what you want from your lessons. Whether you're preparing for a job interview, study, or just want to chat more easily with others, we’ll focus on what matters most to you. I’ll gently guide you with corrections and support along the way, helping you grow your confidence at your own pace. Why choose me? Because I’m patient, easygoing, and genuinely love helping people feel good about learning English. If you’re after a tutor who listens, encourages, and makes learning enjoyable – I’d love to work with you. How to Book: 1. Send me a message. We can exchange email and phone numbers. 2. Schedule Your Session: We’ll find a time for your first free 30 min class. 3. Secure Your Spot: For future classes, payment is made via bank transfer each Sunday to confirm your class for the week. I am available Monday - Thursday. Important Notes: Cancellation Policy: Notify me at least 24 hours before the lesson if you need to cancel. No-shows or last-minute cancellations will not be refunded. Behavior Policy: Classes will be terminated without a refund for abusive behavior or inappropriate topics. For those who enjoy longer study sessions I offer $20 per hour for 6 sessions a week. For example you could choose Monday - 2 hours Tuesday - 2 hours Wednesday - 2 hours OR Monday - 3 hours Wednesday - 3 hours Call me if you have any questions!
