About Christopher
I have spent the past decade helping high school students improve both their grades and their confidence in learning. On average, my long-term students raise their overall scores by 15 points, often moving up one to two letter grades. More importantly, they gain study skills and problem-solving strategies that continue to benefit them well beyond our sessions. As a tutor, I am dependable and make it a priority to keep parents informed about progress, goals, and areas of focus so you always know how your child is doing. My teaching style adapts to each student’s needs, ensuring that no one is left trying to fit into a “one size fits all” approach.

I have a decade of experience working with high school students. On average, my long-term students' average scores go up by 1 or 2 letter grades. I have experience working with students in all courses. I specialize in breaking down the one-size-fits-all mold that public schools often force onto our youth and helping them find new and interesting methods to understand the complex problems they are faced with, methods that work for them. I do my best to treat my students as equals in our sessions rather than talk down to them, explaining why things are important to know, how different skills can benefit them later in life, and help them find their own reasons to want to continue their education, rather than see it as something forced on them by their parents and teachers. My success in long-term tutoring often comes from helping a student change how they look at the world, and convincing them to want to do better rather than forcing them.
