I am well experienced educator. I have taught in public and charter schools in Detroit Michigan over the past ten years. The wealth of my experience was earned at the elementary education level. During my teaching career I have learned various teaching strategies through professional development, from administrators and other experienced teachers. My overall goal as an educator is to assist students with learning challenges; specifically reading and grammar and create a positive and comfortable learning environment.

About the lesson

One methodology of teaching that I have used in prior teaching assignments includes teaching the foundation of language and reading, when assigned students are confronted with reading fluency problems. A strategy that I utilize which has proved to be effective by promoting academic growth involves becoming aware of the student's specific learning styles and grade levels. This has been essential in in order to provide the tools and activities to enhance students' learning experiences.
