About Scarlett
My musical journey led me to complete a PhD in Music Performance and spend the last 11 years teaching guitar to students of all ages. I enjoy helping learners transform dedication into confident musicianship through supportive and structured lessons. Every student brings a unique musical story that I am proud to support.
My teaching philosophy centres on patience, encouragement, and practical learning. I help students improve technique, rhythm, creativity, and musical understanding while keeping lessons enjoyable and motivating. Individual guidance allows every learner to develop at their own pace.
Beyond teaching, I enjoy composing music, performing live, and exploring different musical traditions. These experiences continue to shape my teaching style and inspire fresh lesson ideas. Watching students achieve their musical goals remains one of the greatest rewards of my career.

I teach guitar by combining solid technical foundations with enjoyable musical exploration. Students learn chords, rhythm, scales, fingerstyle, strumming, improvisation, solo development, ear training, music reading, and performance techniques through practical exercises that build confidence. Every lesson is easy to follow and encourages consistent improvement.
Lessons are personalised to suit different learning goals and musical interests. Beginners focus on comfortable playing habits, while experienced students develop expressive phrasing, advanced techniques, musical interpretation, and stage confidence. Structured practice plans and supportive feedback help learners progress steadily.
Music should inspire creativity as well as discipline. I encourage students to explore different styles while developing their own musical identity. My goal is to help every learner enjoy playing guitar with confidence, skill, and genuine enthusiasm.
