About Mahanur

I am a high school student with a strong academic record and a diverse background that has shaped the way I learn and teach. I have lived in multiple countries, which has helped me become adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable working with people from different backgrounds. I am fluent in collaborative and independent learning environments and bring that same flexibility into my tutoring style.

Academically, I have consistently challenged myself in advanced coursework, especially in math and science, where I focus on building strong problem-solving skills and clear understanding rather than memorization. Alongside my studies, I have developed strong communication skills through peer support, group work, and leadership roles in school activities.

Outside of academics, I have long-term experience in violin and competitive squash, both of which have taught me discipline, patience, and how to improve through consistent practice. I also have experience volunteering, which has strengthened my ability to work responsibly and support others in structured settings.

These experiences together shape my approach as a tutor: patient, adaptable, and focused on helping students build both confidence and lasting understanding.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorize steps. I break topics into simple, clear parts and use examples, guided practice, and questions to make learning easier and more engaging. I adjust my explanations based on how each student learns best and encourage them to ask questions so they feel comfortable and confident.

A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by introducing and explaining the new topic step by step. We then work through examples together before the student tries practice problems independently with my support. At the end, I review key ideas and make sure everything is clear.

What sets me apart is my patient, adaptable teaching style and focus on building confidence as well as skills. I aim to make students feel supported, not pressured, so they can improve steadily over time.
