About Lisa
Confidence arrives when you master the mechanics of your new language. My 13 years of practice ensure that our time remains productive.
Before we start, I provide a diagnostic level test to assess your baseline. This allows us to target specific skills like presentation delivery, email writing, and accent softening.
We work through vocabulary building and reading comprehension at a pace that matches your needs. My background in ESL allows me to address the specific anxieties of adult learners. Achieving your English language goals is the milestone we are working toward.

Teaching started as a natural extension of my own curiosity about how we connect through language. After 13 years of guiding learners, I have refined my methods for a wide variety of people. I have worked with 490 students ranging from immigrants to university applicants.
These experiences have shaped my perspective on the unique challenges faced by absolute beginners and TOEFL candidates. My personal narrative involves building systems that bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
I take pride in the success of my students as they advance their careers. It is fascinating to see how a simple shift in pronunciation can change the way a person presents themselves. I have learned so much from the diverse stories my learners bring to our sessions.
Staying methodical while keeping the atmosphere friendly is the balance I strive for every day. Writing this from my own desk, I know exactly how much work goes into mastering a new language.
