About Semih
Hello! My name is Semih and I am an experienced Maths tutor with 5+ years in tutoring. I really enjoy tutoring, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my students are getting the most out of our sessions.
I studied at the Latymer School, where I achieved grades of A*AA (in Maths, Further Maths and Physics respectively). I then went on to study Physics at the University of Warwick, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree.
I have a strong tutoring background, with experience in supporting groups of tutees, as well as one-to-one: I began tutoring while studying at university, tutoring many local A-Level students and younger undergraduates in both Maths and Physics. Since university, I have placed a strong emphasis on tutoring primarily A-Level and GCSE students and helping them achieve their goals. I also have experience teaching to groups, having tutored at various community centres around North London for several years. I have also been asked to teach A-Level Maths at a number of schools. My most recent teaching experience was last year, when I was brought in to teach the Mechanics portion of the current A-Level Maths curriculum at Elstree University Technical College.
I am fully DBS checked.

I strongly relate to the pressure placed on students, especially during the period where university applications are being made and A-Level exams are looming. As such, I employ a relaxed and friendly approach, ensuring that my students feel comfortable enough to ask questions.
Additionally, I offer unlimited support between sessions via WhatsApp. My students can message me any pressing questions they may have and I will get back to them within 24 hours.
