About Lainey
Hi, I’m Lainey, a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor currently studying Criminology at degree level after achieving A grades in both A-Level Sociology and Psychology. I have previous experience tutoring GCSE Sociology students at my school, which helped me develop my ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and adapt my teaching style to different learners. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence in their abilities and achieve their academic goals. I understand that subjects like Sociology and Psychology can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their understanding.

I achieved A grades in both Sociology and Psychology at A Level, giving me a strong understanding of key theories, research methods, and critical analysis skills across both subjects. I am currently studying Criminology at degree level, which combines many aspects of Sociology and Psychology, allowing me to build on and apply my knowledge in greater depth. This continued study has strengthened my understanding of human behaviour, society, and research, which I can use to help students develop confidence and succeed in their studies.
