About Janice
I am a dedicated Piano tutor with 5 years of experience teaching High School and College students. I have successfully guided around 150 students in developing their piano skills, musical knowledge, and confidence in performance. My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a positive, patient, and personalized learning environment where students can learn at their own pace and achieve their musical goals.
I specialize in piano techniques, music theory, note reading, scales, chords, rhythm, sight-reading, ear training, and performance skills. I believe that every student has unique abilities, so I adapt my lessons according to their learning style, interests, and level of experience.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have helped students build strong foundations, improve their technique, and develop a deeper appreciation for music. My approach combines clear communication, creativity, and practical exercises to make learning enjoyable and effective. I aim to inspire students to become confident piano players while developing discipline, creativity, and a lifelong passion for music.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop strong piano skills while building confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for music. I follow a student-centered methodology where lessons are personalized according to each student’s skill level, learning style, goals, and pace of progress.
I teach Piano through a balanced combination of technical training and creative practice. My lessons include subjects such as piano fundamentals, finger techniques, posture, note reading, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, improvisation, song practice, composition basics, and performance skills. I help students understand both the technical and expressive aspects of playing the piano.
Communication is an important part of my teaching style. I create an open and friendly learning environment where students can ask questions, share difficulties, and receive clear guidance. I provide constructive feedback to help students understand their progress and improve effectively.
Empathy helps me understand each student’s learning journey. I recognize that every learner has different strengths and challenges, so I adjust my teaching approach to match their needs and make lessons comfortable and enjoyable.
I focus on problem-solving by identifying areas where students need improvement and creating practical solutions. Whether it is improving finger coordination, understanding music theory, developing rhythm, or building confidence, I guide students with step-by-step techniques.
Creativity is a key part of my methodology. I encourage students to explore different musical styles, express themselves through music, and develop their own unique playing style. I use engaging exercises and real musical examples to make learning more interesting.
Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons based on student progress and goals. Whether students are beginners or advanced learners, I customize my teaching methods to help them achieve their musical objectives.
