About Buhe
Hi, I'm Buhe Makanda, a second-year pharmacy student with a passion for helping others excel in Biology and Chemistry. I know firsthand how tricky these subjects can be, and I love breaking down complex topics to make them easier to understand. My tutoring style is all about focusing on what you find challenging and building up your confidence with personalized lessons and practice questions.
When I'm not hitting the books, you'll find me diving into digital art, jamming to my favourite tunes, or hanging out with friends. I also have a serious love for coffee and enjoy exploring different flavours from around the world. Reading is another hobby of mine, and I always have a book or two on the go. My tutoring approach is highly student-centred, focusing on the specific areas where each student feels they need the most help. This self-directed method ensures that our sessions are both relevant and effective. During our lessons, we delve into the topics the student has identified as challenging, breaking them down into manageable concepts and solving related problems together.
To reinforce learning, I compile personalized sets of questions for the student to work on after each session. These questions are designed to test and affirm their understanding, and we review them briefly at the beginning of the next session to address any lingering difficulties.
Lessons typically range between 1 to 2 hours, providing ample time to explore topics in depth without overwhelming the student. As a second-year pharmacy student, I am well equip with a strong foundation in Biology and Chemistry. I have experience hosting group study sessions for A-level and GCSE students, helping them improve their grades and gain confidence in their abilities.
My lessons are tailored for high school and sixth form students, whether they are preparing for exams or seeking to strengthen their understanding of complex subjects, my goal is to support and guide them to academic success.
