About Irene
Growing up in a household where music and language intersected defined how I teach today. Do you find that settling into a new country makes communication feel overwhelming? I have supported students ranging from Grade 3 kids to adults finding their footing in Canada. My toolkit includes reading comprehension, business English, IELTS prep, phrasal verbs, and accent softening.
Grammar foundations, exam speaking, presentation skills, idioms, and everyday conversation also feature prominently. You will find that my approach prioritizes clarity over speed.

Silence is often the most productive part of our time together. We prioritize listening as the foundation for speech, which might seem strange at first. TOEFL candidates and university applicants often benefit from this method.
As a holder of a BM in Music Education and a CELTA from the University of Toronto, I structure sessions to be logical and calm. We map out your goals while keeping the atmosphere relaxed for immigrant learners. The curriculum evolves based on your specific daily needs. We will see how it goes.
