About Nikoletta
I am a compassionate and dedicated pre-medical student with a goal of becoming an eye doctor, driven by a genuine passion for patient care and education. My experiences working with real-life patients have shown me how the material I teach in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Algebra, Statistics, Chemistry is directly applicable to healthcare giving me a deeper appreciation for the subjects and helping me inspire other students. My role at Jefferson Oncology has been especially transformative providing hands-on experience with reading CT, MRI, and PET scans while exploring patient care on a profound level. Working closely with very sick patients has strengthened my empathy, communication skills, and ability to connect with individuals facing significant health challenges. These experiences have not only deepened my understanding of healthcare but also enhanced my ability to guide and motivate students by relating academic concepts to real-world applications. Additionally, my optometric shadowing at the Drexel Eye Institute has broadened my knowledge in neurology-optometry and diagnostic imaging, reaffirming my commitment to eye care and early disease diagnosis. Through these diverse experiences, I’ve developed a holistic approach to education and patient care.
