About Maia
I am an aspiring cellular and molecular biologist with strong experience in time-management, taking initiative and data analysis. The IB has enabled me to develop these skills within the rigorous coursework and each of my six subjects.
The intense pressure of the IB workload can be overwhelming; I want to tutor students using the specific techniques that helped me succeed. My goal is to share my study skills while inspiring a genuine love for these subjects.

Having recently completed the IB, I understand the workload pressure and have developed efficient and effective methods of optimising the time spent studying.
A typical lesson would last an hour and start with practice questions to identify focus areas and strengths. From there we would revise the weaker topics using the methods that best suit the student. I preferred visual reminders and mnemonics when revising for my exams. To finish, we would return to the practice questions to solidify the learning and discuss the best way to practise outside of lesson time.
Outside of tutoring I can offer succinct study notes that I developed during the course. Additionally, I will be able to help with time management and juggling the vast range of subjects to maximise efficiency when studying.
These lessons are ideal for anyone feeling overwhelmed by their workload who wants to learn while improving their revision techniques.
