About Esme

I have over 8 years of experience as a singing tutor and hold an Associate of Music in Contemporary Vocal Techniques. I love teaching young children and early teens, using creative and playful methods to make learning fun. My lessons focus on building stage presence and confidence, especially for school plays and talent shows. I use games, movement, and storytelling to teach important skills like pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics. These activities keep students engaged and excited about singing. I have a special passion for folk songs, Disney songs, and musicals, all of which are perfect for young voices and age-appropriate technique. My approach centers on building confidence and strong listening skills. I believe music should be joyful, so I create a safe and welcoming space for every student. Helping kids find joy in music-making is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. Whether a child is shy or outgoing, I support them with patience and encouragement. Together, we explore their unique voice and help them shine. Learning to sing can be a fun and exciting journey. I’m here to make sure it’s also a safe one. On stage, young voices can truly sparkle—and I’m thrilled to help them get there.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on developing strong skills for choral singing and ensemble performance. I emphasize vocal blending, helping singers learn how to match tone and volume with others. Sight-reading is an important part of my lessons, so students become comfortable reading music quickly and accurately for choir rehearsals.

Part-singing is another key area, where I guide singers to understand their role and harmonize confidently with the group. My method encourages teamwork and listening closely to fellow singers. This builds a tight, harmonious sound that makes every choir performance shine.

I work well with musicians who play in orchestras or explore different styles, helping them fit smoothly into group singing. My goal is to help every singer become a valuable member of their choir. Lessons are designed to support group learners and develop strong ensemble skills.

With regular practice and guidance, students improve their ability to blend and perform with confidence. I focus on building musicianship and vocal control that benefits the whole group. Together, we create music that’s rich, balanced, and exciting to perform.
