About Arun
I’m a Computer Science graduate at the University of Birmingham with a PwC degree apprenticeship. I’ve taught in schools, run 11+ sessions, and mentored younger students, so I’m used to working with different learning styles and confidence levels. I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence - not just in the subject, but in how they think and approach problems. Outside academics, I hold a black belt in Taekwondo and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for charity. Both taught me the value of discipline, patience, and perseverance - qualities that shape how I approach tutoring and support each student’s progress in a calm, focused way.

I tailor each lesson to the student - whether they’re aiming for top grades or just want to feel more confident. I’m good at breaking things down in a clear, calm way and explaining different approaches to suit how each person learns. I’ve taught in secondary schools, run 11+ sessions, mentored younger students, and taught Taekwondo, so I know how to adapt my style to different personalities and needs. Most of my lessons are 60 minutes and fully online, but I’m flexible depending on what works best for you. While Maths is my main focus, I also support students with Science and Computing - I achieved 9s in all three GCSE Sciences, an 8 in GCSE Computing, and an A in A-Level Physics.
