About Brittnie

I am a degreed Mechanical engineer with over 15 years of experience, so I've seen plenty of math.

But more importantly, I am a former teachers aid and a current homeschooling mom. This means that I have had to take my knowledge and share it with others in ways they actually understand. When I started homeschooling my daughter, she was testing 2 grade levels behind in math. Within two years, she was testing 2 grades ahead. I did this by constantly evaluating her learning style and adjusting to match. And I'll do the same with your student, giving them confidence in a frustrating subject and getting them back on track.

About the lesson

I start by understanding a students gaps AND their learning style. By doing this, I am better able to support the student and reduce frustrations. I also tie in real-world concepts and why they are learning what they are - to answer the question When am I ever going to use this anyway? The student becomes part of the solution, cementing concepts and skills leading to faster adaptation and math advancement.
