About Lilia
Learning French doesn’t have to be difficult! I make French easy to understand by breaking down challenging concepts into simple, clear steps. With a background in French immersion and my DELF certification, I have a strong foundation in the language and enjoy helping others develop their skills and confidence.
I am patient, encouraging, and committed to making every lesson comfortable and enjoyable. Whether you are a beginner, a newcomer to French, or a student looking to improve your grades, I adapt my teaching style to your needs and learning pace. My goal is not only to help you learn French, but to make you feel confident using it.

My approach to tutoring French is to make learning enjoyable, practical, and adapted to each student’s needs. Having completed French immersion throughout my education and earned my DELF certification, I have developed a strong understanding of both conversational and academic French. I focus on creating a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and building confidence.
The first lesson would be dedicated to analyze your French level and build a study plan based on your reading, writing and oral skills. Furthermore, a typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material, followed by a new concept or skill. Depending on the student’s level and goals, we may work on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, or conversation. I like to use interactive activities, real-life examples, games, and conversations rather than relying only on memorization. I also adjust the pace and difficulty based on the student’s progress.
What sets me apart is my ability to make French feel approachable and fun. I especially enjoy working with children and newcomers who may be learning French for the first time. I aim to make lessons engaging while still ensuring that students develop strong fundamentals and practical communication skills.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, elementary and high school students, newcomers to French, and anyone looking to improve their speaking, comprehension, reading, or writing skills. I can adapt lessons to different learning styles and academic levels, whether the goal is succeeding in school, becoming more comfortable speaking French, or simply developing a new language skill.
