About Aditi
My name is Aditi Nath Purkayastha. I'm 24 years old, from Assam. I'm really passionate about Philosophy, and especially Indian Philosophy, which is my area of interest. I want more people to know about the ancient wisdom of the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Gita, and our shastras, and what they had said about managing emotional distress, mental health issues that we face today.

We'll dive deep into the core of philosophical thought. Here, in my class, we won't just memorize concepts/theories - no rote learning! We'll understand our theories deeply and conduct Q&A sessions at the end. I'll encourage my students to ask questions, develop critical thinking, and to have real-world applications of philosophical ideas. I take the mental health of my students seriously, and that is also one of the reasons why we'll discuss Philosophical Counselling and how it might help solve our crises. If you're someone hoping to learn more about the ancient wisdom, spirituality of the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad-Gita and other scriptural texts, and have like a general comparative study with Western thought, I'm sure we'll have some insightful discussions in my class . We'll take one thing at a time, because I believe if we don't enjoy learning, it's always going to appear as a chore. Or, if you're someone who just wants to explore the depths of philosophy (possibly trying to find the reason of your existence, developing a whole new outlook on life, or, in general, having negative thoughts), I'm sure my course on Philosophical Counselling might turn out to be just what you need!
