About Yathavan
I am a third-year Doctor of Dental Medicine student at the University of Queensland with a strong passion for learning and helping others succeed academically. Throughout my studies, I have developed effective ways of breaking down complex concepts into clear and simple explanations, which I enjoy sharing with students.
I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to support students as they build confidence in their abilities and develop stronger study habits. My aim is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving step by step.

As a UQ Doctor of Dental Medicine student, I am passionate about helping students feel more confident and capable in their learning. I believe good tutoring should not just focus on getting through homework, but on helping students genuinely understand concepts and develop the skills they need to succeed independently.
I offer English, Biology, and Science tutoring for students in Years 5–12. My teaching style is clear, patient, and structured, with lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs. Whether a student needs help keeping up in class, preparing for exams, improving study habits, or building confidence in difficult topics, I aim to provide support that is both practical and encouraging.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and can be adjusted depending on the student’s goals and year level. In each session, I focus on explaining concepts in a simple and approachable way, working through questions together, and reinforcing understanding through active practice.
I strive to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
