About Ibrahim
Hello, I’m Ibrahim, a Dentistry student at the University of Birmingham with a passion for helping students succeed in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I studied at Reading School, one of the UK’s top grammar schools, and achieved A*A*A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-level. Having gone through these exams myself, I know what it takes to achieve top grades and can guide students to reach their full potential.
Having been a tutee for many years, with a variety of different tutors, I can recognise what separates a good tutor from a great tutor - whether it's lesson pacing, subject expertise, student-tutor relationships, and more. Despite being in my first year of uni, I already have 2 years of experience working in a customer facing role at Waitrose, which has undoubtedly provided me with a plethora of transferable skills that I can apply with my students.

I offer tuition in A-level and GCSE Biology and Chemistry, as well as GCSE Maths, with experience across OCR, AQA and Edexcel exam boards.
My lessons follow a clear structure: we begin with a short recap, then cover new material, ensuring I simplify difficult concepts. We then move onto exam-style questions and, when ready, full past papers - the tried and tested method that helped me secure A*A*A at A-Level.
Previously, I have mentored Year 7 pupils in Maths, adapting explanations to different abilities while building confidence in the topic at hand. I have also tutored a family member, helping her go from a Grade 4 to 8 in Maths, and 5 to 8 in Biology and Chemistry in only 6 months! Moreover, I have plenty of informal tutoring and teaching experience whether it be helping a struggling classmate after class, or going on a group call to help clarify my classmates concerns. I aim to make revision structured, manageable, (and of course enjoyable), while helping you achieve the results you’re aiming for.
Each lesson will last for either 1 or 2 hours, depending on preference.

Ibrahim and I were in the same chemistry class for 2 years. He was always enthusiastic, confident and quite social, whilst still maintaining top grades throughout. Once, I found myself struggling with one of the key topics; asking him for assistance, he carefully explained it, first simply, then extensively, allowing me to grasp the foundations and then be able to apply the complex terminology needed to score marks in A-level past paper questions. After being completely confident that I knew the concept and key words, he went through a past paper question with me, where he explained the concept again, but in the way the exam likes it to be displayed. Through this, I saw myself gaining a considerable amount of marks straight away, as I continued with past paper questions as recommended by him.
Nothing goes unmissed with Ibrahim; he likes to set out plans for the coming lessons to make sure his students are onboard with him and the way and tempo at which he teaches. However it is often that tutors tend to pick and choose or forget the minor things they promise to cover. His level of independence makes his teaching for my child, a very easy delegation for me with my busy work life. With Ibrahim, consider it done.
I was really struggling in Year 12 mocks a while back and Ibrahim helped me to understand the tricky Module 3 Chemistry topics, such as the Boltzmann Distribution and Perioidic Table.
Mainly, I'd say he's best at teaching exam technique and he always has new methods and techniques to share which I ended up using a few in my actual A-Levels!Ibrahim has rather impressive communication skills - he is always able to convey the content clearly and effectively. Definitely would recommend as a tutor
I would love to recommend Ibrahim as a Biology Tutor!
I know from experience that he is definitely gifted in this subject and has a very good work ethic. Working alongside Ibrahim in the classroom is always a pleasure, and he most definitely helped me achieve a better score in tests.
He always made sure that I understand the content before asking me any questions so he knows that I understand the topic. If I don't get it, he uses many methods to help me to understand, varying from analogies to real life experiences as examples.
He is a very good teacher, and he is especially patient with people. Would definitely recommend for Biology!Ibrahim is an amazing Biology tutor! He makes sure every lesson matches my exam board exactly, so I never waste time on things I don’t need. He’s really good at teaching exam technique — showing me how to structure answers and avoid common mistakes. We go through loads of past papers, and he explains everything so clearly that tricky topics finally make sense. I feel so much more confident going into exams thanks to him.
Since Year 7, he always helped me with the subjects we were doing together. More recently, we sat A-Level Chemistry together and he was a great friend to work alongside. He really helped me with my motivation and particularly when he explained tricky topics like Organic mechanisms or inorganic color reactions.
I'd definitely recommend Ibrahim as a tutor, especially to any aspiring GCSE or Alevel chemists. He helped me a lot with many complex and long winded problem solving questions for gcse maths, and I found it really helpful the way he broke down each part of the question and explain each part to me slowly when I didn’t understand the first time round. I owe my grade 9 in maths to him.
Ibrahim consistently proves himself to be reliable, patient, and hardworking. He has a real talent for explaining maths clearly, making difficult concepts much easier to understand. Having studied with him for a long time at school, I can confidently say he’s not only knowledgeable but also trustworthy and supportive, making him an excellent maths tutor.
Ibrahim is brilliant at his subjects and I think he has the ability to understand and teach anything to any student. He helped me during A-Level preparations, and I would recommend him if someone is looking out for a high-quality tutor.
Ibrahim is a great teacher. He is very engaging and makes maths fun! I really look forward to lessons with Ibrahim and he's raised me by 2 grades in GCSE Maths in only 3 months!
A really charismatic and helpful tutor who expertise in biology and helped me achieve a grade 9 in my A level biology! He goes into depth with each topic and really focused on exam techniques.
Would highly recommend!View more recommendations
