Deputy head of science with experience in teaching ks3-ks4

My key role in the department have been, being heavily involved in identifying the needs and opportunities for cross-curricular links within and beyond the faculty to facilitate accelerated progress by all pupils. I have been able to work with staff of different expertise to guide and monitor them within the faculty.

Over the last 2 year, I had an active role in being accountable for the progress of all pupils of different needs within specific key stages or within specific qualifications. I have been working on constructing the teaching and learning framework, to allow for the progress of all pupils and the implementation of pedagogy in the department.

I have been leading and planning different ways of implementing and executing the most effective use of pedagogy into key areas of the curriculum across KS3 and KS4.

I am an inspirational team worker and leader who works to meet the needs of all learners by consistently planning and teaching carefully differentiated lessons.
As a middle leader I aspire to motivate for the continually improvement of standards and encourage for the achievement of excellence by all members of staff and students.

I have worked as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) at a secondary school in the borough of Camden. As a LSA I support 11-16 year old Science students during their lessons and teach small groups outside of their study time. I support special educational needs students; where I make sure that the tasks are well differentiated for them which will to allow them to access tasks and boost their attainment through different teaching methods. I have been also working with children with behaviour and anger management problems which have trained me to manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment for all pupils. I also run clubs such as study space during school time where I work closely with year 11 students to complete homework and revise.
