About Shelley
I enjoyed a career in human resources, specifically employee relations and training, before becoming a teacher. I have a substitute certification and two years of experience (pre-K through grade 12). I continually take conversational Spanish classes to stay fluent. This builds a culture of lifelong learning.

I ask if the student learns best by visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. Suggesting word associations to learn vocabulary has been effective. A typical lesson plan includes variety such as worksheets, word searches, creating a small craft, etc. I make learning fun.
