About Danielle
Excel is part of a fifteen-year tutoring career during which I have taught 750 students, many of them professionals needing advanced spreadsheet skills for their careers. My own background includes years of professional teaching experience combined with practical workplace consulting on spreadsheet systems. I am a demanding but deeply invested tutor, believing genuine spreadsheet mastery requires patient, deliberate practice rather than rushed memorization of formulas. Many of my tutoring relationships have lasted years, letting me guide a student's entire skill development from basic formulas through advanced automation. I place strong emphasis on deliberate, focused practice with challenging functions, insisting on genuine mastery of a formula before moving to more complex variations like automation or macros. Skills are taught within a mapped sequence, showing students explicitly how one function feeds into building a complete, professional spreadsheet. For workplace focused students I rely on realistic project based practice, since comfortable understanding of a formula alone does not guarantee confident real world application. I maintain detailed long term progress notes for every student, tracking subtle improvements across months of lessons.
