About Samuel
I am an energetic musician and instructor holding a formal Bachelor of Music degree. My ten years of experience include touring with professional bands and running a private guitar studio. I once worked with a teenage guitarist who possessed great speed but could not maintain steady rhythm in a band.
We used isolated metronome drills and rhythm displacement exercises to lock in their internal timing. Within one semester, their timing became flawless and they successfully passed their audition for a premier youth orchestra. Seeing my students step onto a stage with absolute confidence is the ultimate reward.
When I am not performing, I compose instrumental music and restore vintage electric guitars in my workshop. I cultivate an open and relaxed lesson space where students can explore their favorite musical genres without judgment. My instructional plan focuses on physical ergonomics, metronome practice, and fluid rhythm control. We start every session with targeted finger stretching patterns to prevent muscle strain and build strength. Students learn how to transition between difficult bar chords smoothly by focusing on pivot fingers.
We combine acoustic fingerstyle techniques with electric guitar picking exercises to build total stylistic versatility. I introduce basic music theory directly on the fretboard so students understand improvisation patterns immediately. We record practice tracks during class to evaluate tempo control and groove precision together.
This hands-on methodology perfectly prepares students for live performances, music school auditions, and band settings. We practice playing under simulated stage conditions to build performance confidence and overcome nerves. Every exercise is designed to transition learners from basic bedroom practice to professional stage production.
