About Leslie
Watching students improve their violin skills and enjoy playing music is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. With 11 years of teaching experience, I have supported teenagers and adult students through patient and practical lessons.
I focus on helping students understand the basics clearly before moving to advanced techniques. This helps them improve bow control, intonation, rhythm, tone quality, finger placement, and musical expression with better confidence.
Every learner has different goals, so I adapt lessons to match their needs, interests, and learning pace. Whether preparing for performances or learning as a hobby, I provide guidance, feedback, and encouragement throughout their musical journey.

My violin lessons focus on helping students build confidence while developing correct techniques from the beginning. Each session includes demonstrations, guided practice, and carefully planned exercises that make learning easier while improving musical understanding and playing ability.
Students learn posture, bow hold, bowing techniques, finger placement, intonation, shifting, vibrato, rhythm, sight reading, ear training, tone production, music theory, and performance skills. Musical pieces and practical exercises help students apply these techniques while developing control and expressive violin playing.
Students receive constructive feedback, home practice guidance, and regular progress reviews to understand their improvement. Whether learning for concerts, auditions, examinations, or personal enjoyment, every lesson helps students strengthen their skills and become more confident violin players.
