About Yvette
You will start by focusing on clean tone production before we tackle intricate strumming patterns. Moving at your own pace ensures that power chords and music theory concepts sink in firmly.
I pay close attention to your hand positioning to prevent strain while playing. Improvisation and soloing become natural extensions of your practice as we refine your rhythm. Reading sheet music is treated as a foundational skill for all my students.
Helping teens and adults prepare for grade exams requires a clear and logical path forward. Every detail of your technique matters when building a song. Feel free to reach out if you want to play through your first piece.

Absolute beginners often find that music is the best way to anchor their new life in Canada. Teaching 125 students has shown me how melody serves as a bridge for the mind. My Master of Arts in Music Education from McGill provides the academic structure for every session.
Drawing on 8 years of experience allows me to simplify complex barre chords and blues progressions for my pupils. Balancing technical rigor with artistic expression remains my priority throughout our collaboration. My students range from youth to adults finding their footing in a new country.
Watching them find their voice through the fretboard is deeply rewarding. I guide you through theory and improvisation with a calm and precise hand. Please join me for a session to explore how music and language intersect.
