About Hazel

Hi! I’m Hazel, a Development Communication student who is passionate about learning and helping others understand their lessons. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment. I believe every student can learn with the right guidance and encouragement. My Teaching Method and Techniques

My teaching approach is student-centered, simple, and interactive. I first try to understand the learner’s current knowledge, learning style, and areas where they need help. I explain lessons using clear and easy-to-understand examples, then give short activities or questions to check their understanding. I also encourage students to ask questions and share their ideas instead of simply memorizing information. When needed, I adjust my teaching method and explain difficult topics in a different way until the student understands them.

A Typical Lesson Plan

A typical lesson starts with a short introduction or review of the previous topic. Next, I introduce the new lesson and explain the important concepts step by step. I use examples related to real-life situations or the student’s course to make the lesson easier to understand. After the discussion, I give practice questions, activities, or a short exercise. We then review the answers together, clarify mistakes, and end with a brief summary of the key points.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

What sets me apart is my patience and willingness to adjust to each student’s needs. I believe that students learn differently, so I avoid using only one teaching style. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. As a Development Communication student, I also value clear communication, active listening, and connecting lessons to real-world situations.

I can also help students who want to improve their study habits, understanding of lessons, and confidence in expressing their ideas.
