About Lee Ann
I am a dedicated special education teacher with over two decades of experience supporting students of all ages, with a primary focus on the elementary level. My career has spanned both private specialized schools and public school settings, giving me a deep understanding of the diverse challenges students face in various learning environments. Whether in-person or online, my mission is to provide individualized, high-impact instruction.
Advanced Qualifications & Specialized Training: My approach is grounded in a strong academic and professional foundation, including:
Academic Degrees: Undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a graduate degree in Special Education.
Specialized Certifications: Graduate certificates in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Assistive Technology, as well as a certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
Proven Expertise: I have completed over 200 hours of professional development specifically in multi-sensory literacy and math instruction.
Teacher Leader: I don’t just practice these methods; I have also presented professional development training to other educators to improve classroom outcomes.
I believe that every student has a unique path to success. By combining my background in speech-language sciences with proven multi-sensory strategies, I help learners build the confidence and skills they need to thrive.

Rapport is the first step in learning. I prioritize getting to know my students so I can tailor every session to their unique interests, preferences, and learning styles. My goal is to meet them exactly where they are and bridge the gap to the next level, keeping the process engaging by celebrating success every step of the way.
My Methodology: I utilize explicit instruction and incorporate multi-sensory learning into all sessions. My teaching approach is:
Diagnostic & Prescriptive: Tailored to specific needs identified through assessment.
Sequential & Cumulative: Building a solid foundation where each skill connects to the next.
Learning can be challenging, but it is never impossible. I love collaborating with my students to set and achieve meaningful goals—and ensuring we have FUN while doing it. By incorporating student interests, I turn every tutoring session into an inviting journey.
