About Leon
I am an enthusiastic Trumpet tutor with 11+ years of teaching experience. I have successfully taught around 300 High School students, College students, and adults, helping them develop strong skills through personalised lessons and consistent encouragement.
My teaching philosophy centres on patience, communication, and continuous improvement. I believe every learner has unique strengths, so I adapt my lessons to suit each student's pace and goals. Using simple English and practical demonstrations, I make learning both enjoyable and effective.
My lessons are designed to strengthen basic knowledge before introducing advanced topics. Students receive guided practice, detailed feedback, and regular progress assessments to ensure continuous improvement. I also encourage independent practice to build confidence.
Teaching around 300 students has been an important milestone in my teaching journey. Many learners have achieved excellent results, improved their confidence, and developed lasting learning habits through my guidance.
I create a friendly and motivating classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves. My aim is to help every learner enjoy Trumpet while becoming a confident and independent learner.

My Trumpet teaching methodology is designed to combine technical training with creativity and musical expression. I believe communication is essential for effective learning, so I explain concepts clearly and encourage students to participate actively in lessons. I adapt my teaching methods according to different learning styles to make lessons comfortable and productive for each student.
I use real-life examples and case studies from trumpet performances, orchestras, bands, and professional musicians to make musical concepts easier to understand.
In addition to Trumpet, I teach related subjects including Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight Reading, Rhythm Development, Improvisation, and Performance Preparation. My teaching focuses on developing proper technique, musical understanding, and confidence while encouraging students to enjoy the learning process.
