About Helen
Teaching guitar allows me to share the rhythmic soul of the Latin music scene I have inhabited for 14 years. My Diploma of Music from JMC Academy provides the technical foundation I pair with my native Spanish heritage. I focus on advanced learners and adults seeking to refine their acoustic technique or improvisation skills. Many students find my approach to blues progressions and complex chord transitions quite refreshing. Over the last decade, I have guided countless musicians through grade exam prep and songwriting challenges. These sessions leverage my 14 years of gigging to translate theory into actual stage performance. We will focus on reading sheet music and mastering difficult transitions during our time together.
