About Nancy
Maybe I should have stayed in the studio, but teaching grabbed me after 6 years of gigging throughout the South. My Diploma in Music Performance from Musicians Institute Hollywood provides the technical framework behind everything I do. I spent 13 years performing as a singer-guitarist in small venues.
It is a long road from those first acoustic sets to teaching others the nuances of the voice. My background is built on the reality of live performance rather than just theory. I work with absolute beginners, returning learners, and self-taught players who feel stuck.
I like to keep things simple for the folks I teach. It is just about getting the sound right.

Singing often feels best when you stop thinking about the mechanics and just let the sound go. Exercises are rarely the most fun part of the day. You actually need them to build the strength for belting and sustained phrasing.
My lessons draw on 13 years of experience and a formal education to fix your tone. You will receive homework vocal drills assigned after every session to ensure steady progress. I focus on vocal health, microphone technique, and resonance for grade exam candidates and adult beginners. If you want to put in the work, send me a message.
