About Yvonne
Teaching 464 students has taught me that the hardest part of piano is often simply sitting down at the keys. I hold a Diploma from NEC and have spent 13 years refining my craft. My experience covers everything from pop and contemporary styles to complex sight playing.
I focus on developing pedaling technique and music theory for all my pupils. A monthly PROGRESS TRACKER is shared with parents to ensure full transparency.
I also prioritize accompaniment skills for those interested in collaborative performance. This tool highlights steady development for kids, teens, and working professionals. Working with so many individuals keeps my perspective fresh and grounded. My goal is to maintain a high standard of musical literacy for everyone I guide.

Frustration with sight playing usually stems from a lack of foundational theory rather than a lack of talent. We start by addressing your specific challenges through concrete exercises.
My 13 years of experience allow me to identify technical hurdles before they become habits. You will find that regular grade exam prep via ABRSM or Trinity helps structure your progress.
I provide a monthly progress report to keep every student accountable. Each session moves between technical precision and musical expression.
We use these reports to visualize how far you have traveled over the months. I stay engaged with your growth by monitoring these charts closely. Your path forward involves steady work and clear communication between us. You can rely on this consistent feedback loop as you build your skills.
