About Zachary
Working with students has taught me that no two people learn music in the same way. Some enjoy taking on new challenges straight away, while others prefer to build confidence one small step at a time.
After completing my Degree in Music, I've spent 9 years teaching beginners and working professionals. That experience has helped me adapt my teaching so every student feels supported and comfortable during lessons.
I enjoy seeing students become proud of what they can play. Those moments make all the hard work worthwhile and remind me why I still enjoy teaching piano every day.

My piano lessons are built around practical learning, so you'll spend plenty of time playing instead of only reading about music. I explain each new idea clearly and make sure you're comfortable before introducing something more challenging.
We'll practise scales, chords, rhythm, finger movement, hand coordination, sight reading, accompaniment, improvisation, music theory, dynamics, and expressive playing. Sometimes we'll play a favourite piece together, while other lessons focus on building the skills needed for future songs.
I'll provide simple practice plans, regular lesson notes, and helpful feedback after each class. Little by little, you'll build confidence, improve your playing, and enjoy sitting at the piano even more.
