About Amelia
Hi, I’m Amelia Dawson, and I have 8 years of experience teaching singing to K-12 and early college students. I completed my studies at University of Oregon, where I developed strong expertise in vocal training and music education. My teaching style is friendly, supportive, and focused on making learning enjoyable and effective. I have helped many students improve their voice, confidence, and stage presence. I was honored with the Vocal Performance Development Award for my engaging teaching approach. Today, when I see my students enjoying singing and performing confidently, I feel truly proud. Outside teaching, I enjoy singing, writing music, and exploring different styles.

In my singing lessons, I create a comfortable and encouraging environment where you can explore your voice and improve step by step without pressure. I will help you understand the topic you have been having trouble with, through clear explanations, useful examples, and a lot of guided and dynamic practice. We focus on breathing techniques, pitch accuracy, tone clarity, vocal strength, and emotional expression so your singing becomes natural and expressive. I also include music reading, music theory, and choir-style techniques so you develop a complete understanding of music. Together, we’ll make a subject you enjoy while building your confidence and performance skills. You can ask doubts anytime during the lesson and also share your songs or goals before class so I can design everything according to your needs.
