About Jay
My name is Jay, I’m 28, and I currently reside in Eastbourne, East Sussex. I graduated in 2018 with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Sociology, where I was awarded the department prize for the best Sociology dissertation of my year. Since then, I've gained diverse experience working in various roles within local government and have had the opportunity to tutor undergraduate students, primarily focusing on essay writing and research skills. Throughout my tutoring career, I have supported students across a range of disciplines, including Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, and International Business. My students have consistently achieved first-class degrees, and I take great pride in helping them reach their academic goals.

If you choose to work with me, we'll begin with a free initial meeting on MST to discuss your goals and the grades you're aiming for. I believe effective tuition is student-led—you're the best judge of the areas you want to strengthen, and together, we’ll create a customised plan to meet your needs. During our sessions, we'll focus on key areas such as structure, referencing, punctuation, analysis, and comparative content, always working together to enhance your writing. My rate is £15 per hour, which includes essay review and 1:1 guidance to support your academic success.
